Kedarnath Temple

Located near Mandakini River in the Garhwal Himalayan Range. It is situated at Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It is at a height of 11, 760 feet. This temple worships Lord Shiva as the ‘Lord of KedarKhand’- Kedarnath Temple is one of the dham in chardham yatra or Do dhamYatra. We are very happy to provide the kedarnath package from Haridwar, Delhi & Dehradun.

Badrinath Temple

Situated along the banks of Alaknanda River in the Garhwal Hills. It is at a height of 10,280 feet. It is situated in Uttarakhand. The Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Apart from being the final destination of Chota Char Dham, it is also a part of the Char DhamYatra. It is also one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu. The temple worships a black stone statue of Vishnu. We are happy to provide a badrinath package from Haridwar Delhi Dehradun (including char dham hotel booking).

Day 01 - day 10

Day 1

Haridwar to Ukhimath (260 kms/8-9 hrs drive one way).

Pickup from Haridwar Railway Station/ Dehradun Airport & Drive to Ukhimath view Devprayag and Rudrapriyag on the way. Later in the evening check into the Hotel & Overnight stay.

Ukhimath is located on the route to Kedarnath on a ridge on the west side of the Mandakini river valley at an elevation of 1,319 mts above sea level. The main temple of Ukhimath is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Vishwanath – “Lord of the Universe ”. It is built of regional stones and is situated in an enclosed courtyard. The small temple to its left is Ardhanarishvara. Ukhimath is situated on the mountain facing Ukhimath town.

When the Pandavas were searching for a glimpse of Shiva, Shiva first concealed himself in Ukhimath but later fled from them further up the valley to Kedarnath. Guptakashi is a religiously important town of Uttarakhand as it houses ancient temples like Vishwanath temple and Ardhnarishwar temple.

Ukhimath Weather – pleasant in summer, the temperature ranges from 25-30 degree Celsius. Cold in winters.

Day 2

Ukhimath to Kedarnath (30 kms by road & 19 kms Trek one way)

Early in the Morning start your journey for Gaurikund and from there either take a Horse or trek to Kedarnath. Enjoy Kedarnath Darshan & back your hotel. Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

By Helicopter: Morning our driver will transfer you your pre book Helipad.

By Trek: Today wake up early in the morning around 4 am & Start your Journey towards Kedarnath Temple. In the afternoon check into the hotel/Camp in Kedarnath, After fresh n up visit temple & Have darshan of Lord shiva 12 Jyotriling. Later visit Bhairav Temple which is just above the Kedarnath temple. Later back to the hotel & overnight stay.

Kedarnath: The temple was built by Pandavas and revived by Adi Sankaracharya and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest Hindu shrines of Shiva. In 2000 BC, AdiShankaracharya came to Kedarnath with 4 of his disciples. However he preferred to go the final 14 kilometers alone to Kedarnath temple from GauriKund hot springs , which he created for his shivering disciples. Kedarnath temple Shiva lingam is pyramid shaped and hence is unique among Shiva temples. Apart from that, Kedarnath is a part of the char dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. Situated at an altitude of 11,755 ft.

Kedarnath Weather – Due to its high altitude the weather in Kedarnath remains cold for most part of the year. Summer here is cool and pleasant while winter is severe. During the summer season the temperature varies around 20°Celsius. Light woolen wear is recommended. Winter season in Kedarnath is severe with mercury falling to as low as 0°Celsius. During this time the place experiences snowfall as well. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually avoided by tourists.

Day 3

Kedarnath to Ukhimath (30 kms by road & 19 kms Trek one way) Height: 3384 MTS.

Get up early in the morning and start moving to the temple for Morning Aarti, later will be having breakfast, check out from the hotel & transfer to Ukhimath. In the evening check
into the hotel & Overnight stay.

By Helicopter: Morning our driver will transfer you your pre book Helipad. After Back our car will drop you at the Hotel for rest.

By Trek: You have to come by trek till Gaurikund then take a local jeep for Sonprayag where your Driver will wait. There is a big parking issue so the driver will go back to another palace if his contact no. is not working then you have to arrange another taxi or wait for your driver & send the message to any other driver.

Day 4

Ukhimath to Badrinath (220 kms/9-10 hrs drive one way).

Post breakfast transfer from Ukhimath to Badrinath, check into the hotel later, visit Tapta kund, take a dip into the hot water, have the Darshan of Badrivishal Aarti in the evening. Brahma Kapal is significant for PinddanShraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spots like Mana, VyasGufa, Mata Murti, Charan Paduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinath Ji. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Badrinath was re-established as a major pilgrimage site by AdiShankara in the 8th century. Char Dhams is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage sites of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. Badri refers to a berry that was apparently said to grow abundantly in the area, and nath means “Lord” / “Lord of” as per the context in which it is referred. Badri is also the Sanskrit name for the Indian Jujube tree, which has an edible berry. Some scriptural references refer to Jujube trees being abundant in Badrinath.

TaptKund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath before entering the Badrinath temple.

ManaVillage : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.

Vasundhara : As the name suggests, Vasudhara is a magnificent waterfall. This place is 5 kms. from Badrinath out of which 2 kms is motorable up toMana.

BhimPul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.

VyasGufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where VedVyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

Badrinath Weather: The average maximum temperature will be around 18° Celsius and the average minimum is 8° Celsius. Warm and woolen clothes are hence required for a stay in Badrinath throughout the year. Winter in Badrinath is often accompanied by snow falls. Winter is very chilly with an average temperature of 5° Celsius. Due to the extreme climatic conditions, this time is usually closed for tourists.

Day 5

Badrinath to Haridwar Drop (305 kms/5-6 hrs drive one way)

Post breakfast, visit Mana Village in the morning, which is very famous for Last tea Shop, Vasundara Fall, BhimPul, Vyas gufa & Saraswati river. After sightseeing, drive to Rishikesh .

Joshimath is situated on the slopes above the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Of the four ‘Mathas’ established by AdiShankaracharya, Joshimath is the winter seat of Badrinath. The idol is brought down to Joshimath and installed in the temple for people to worship. This is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu in Narsingh Avtar and the main temple of Joshimath. It has an idol of Lord Narsingh, which is considered established by Shankaracharya. As per local belief, the right hand of this idol has become as thin as hair. On the day when it will break, the mountains Jay-Vijay (which are situated on a way to Badrinath) shall join and become one and Lord Badrinath of Badrinath temple will disappear from the present temple and re-appear as black stone (Shaligram) at new place called Bhavishya Badri, which is situated at a distance of 10 km from Joshimath. During the period when Badrinath temple remains closed during winter every year, an idol of Lord Badri is brought to Narsingh temple and worshiped for six months.

Rudraprayag: An ancient shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of ‘Rudra’. Rudraprayag is of immense significance for the pilgrims of Char DhamYatra, as it is the junction for visiting Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham. Rudraprayag Is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River. It is the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath, a Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag.

Rudraprayag Weather: Generally hot in summer, the temperature ranges from 35-40 degree Celsius, Winter: The Days are pleasantly cool but the nights are cold, temp ranges from 20 deg to 05 deg.

Rishikesh: Named after the Lord Vishnu, Rishikesh is a holy city for Hindus. Located in the foothills of the Himalaya in northern India it is also known as the yoga center of the world and is home to many world renowned ashrams. Rishikesh styles itself as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’, Hindu sages and saints have visited Rishikesh since ancient times to meditate in search of higher knowledge. The fast-flowing Ganges is surrounded by forested hills inside the city. Apart from the spiritual and yogic teachings the town is also famous for adventure activities like White Water Rafting and Kayaking in the mighty Ganga, Bungee Jumping, Camping, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing and Zip Lining.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 18% of the Total Package Cost is Non-Refundable.
  • 35% cancellation charge of the total package cost, if cancellation between 15 to 7 days before arrival.
  • 50% cancellation charge of the total package cost if cancellation between 7 to 2 days before arrival.
  • 100% cancellation charge of the total package cost if cancellation before 48 Hrs. before arrival.
  • Altering the confirmed plan Not possible.

Hotels Terms & Conditions:

  • Please read emails carefully and understand the contents and prices. All the email conversations will also be part of your contract with us once you make the booking.
  • There are no deluxe facilities in Kedarnathji due to high altitude. They only serve you the bed system.
  • As per the directive given by the Government of India, all Indian/Foreign Nationals are required to provide proper proof of identification upon check-in. valid identification documents are: Passport & Visa together, Voters Id card, Current Driver’s License, Aadhar Card. All the documents must include a photograph.
  • Hotel / camps or any kind of accommodation can deny stay if valid id proof is not provided. Company is not responsible for any ID proof related issues.
  • Generally hotel check in time is 14:00 hrs and checkout time is 11:00 hrs across India. Confirm early check in or late checkout will be chargeable if not included in cost. Kindly contact the hotel directly if you want complimentary early check in or late check out.
  • If meals are included in the package it will be served at a set menu basis in a buet menu / fixed / meal credit. Any items which are not in their ideal Buet / Fixed menu will be charged extra at the time of consumption. Hotels decide the menu and options of items for the menu. Some hotels have a Meal credit policy instead of Buet or Fixed Menu during low occupancy in hotels – This meal credit amount is decided by hotel management – if bills go above the given meal credit amount then extra amount should be paid directly at the respective hotel. Room service for the food or packing is charged extra at many hotels. Normally in Chardham you will get north Indian type food only and most of the standard and deluxe hotels give thali if meals are included in the package.
  • Breakfast Timing: 07:00 Am to 09:00 AM And Dinner: 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM (About the timing you can contact hotel management before.)
  • Normally for extra beds on double sharing rooms many hotels have rollaway beds while rest of the hotels provide extra mattress only. If you are not comfortable with the mattress system instead of bed let us know in advance.
  • In hill areas or Chardham many hotels don’t have ac so if you insist ac only kindly confirm with the company regarding the same. Lift facility & power back up is not available in most of the hotels in Chardham. Wifi facility and room heater is mostly chargeable but don’t expect good wifi in Chardham hotels due to network issues most of the time.
  • Most of the hotels in Chardham are not running full year so don’t expect similar service and room quality like you get in HaridwarRishikesh in the same price range. Especially in May, June and other busy days, the budget/standard hotels in.

    Chardham can cost more than a deluxe hotel in Haridwar, Rishikesh or Delhi.
    Also if you want to stay in good hotels with good reviews you need to book at least 3 months before in may June and 1-2 months before in Oct Nov season as good hotels are mostly booked in advance by groups.
    In Kedarnath there is only basic in Kedarnath don’t expect even deluxe rooms.

About Helicopter in Kedarnath:

  • Valid identification is required as well as biometric registration.
  • There are 3 different helipad locations (Phata, Sirsi and Agatsya Muni) and tickets will be booked according to availability. If your hotel is far from the helipad you need to start early to reach on time. If you prefer a particular helipad, only kindly contact the company before making time. 
  • If the helicopters are not flying for any reason like weather or other reason we will be not responsible. You will get your money for helicopter ticket cost refund but date change will be difficult for us. In case of cancellation of flight for the day due to any reason, the current day passenger will be given priority over the previous day passenger. Previous passengers may be accommodated subject to availability of seats; else full fare will be refunded. No extra refunds for meal / accomodation / transport will be provided, only helicopter ticket will be refunded.
  • Aerial photography from helicopters is prohibited.
  • Reporting time for Helicopter is as per the aviation company information on ticket and we will not be able to change it and if you don’t reach on reporting time no refund is possible. All passengers should report at the given reporting time, the boarding may take place any time after that depending on traffic and flight schedule. Boarding time can take 2 hrs also after reporting but guests must reach on time according to reporting time.
  • The same day return passengers will get only 2 hrs for darshan at Kedarnath Dham.
  • Priority Darshan passes (VIP tickets) for Kedarnath temple for same day passenger will be charged as per rates decided by Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC). Approx 1100 to RS 2500 Per Person. That amount you have to pay as per crowd & committee instruction at the helipad.
  • Seating of the passengers will be dependent on the helicopter load carriage and guests may have to be divided in separate flights.
  • Two way passengers will have priority over one way passengers.
  • Night halt passengers will be booked for 1400 hrs onwards flights only. Reporting time at Kedarnath helipad, next day for return flights, will be 0600 hrs. Night halt passengers will be allowed to stay at Kedarnath after the declaration by Govt. of Uttarakhand.
  • Passenger weight more than 80 kg have to pay additional Rs 150/kg for additional weight. Weight will be calculated individually and will not be offset with another passenger
  • Passengers are entitled only one piece of baggage weighing not more than 2 kilograms, any
  • additional piece of baggage will not be allowed.
  • Children above 2 years of age will be provided with a seat and will be charged full fare. For infants less than two years is free and no seat will be provided to the infants.
  • Aviation company liability in case of any injury, death or damage or loss of property etc will depend on civ aviation rules and regulations (Carriage by air act as per the latest rules). All disputes regarding this should be between particular aviation services Provider Company and guest directly and Divine Uttarakhand will be not liable.
